GUG Showtim3 - is a top rising American rapper, singer and songwriter.
From the age of six, Showtim3’s passion for music began to take shape. He would scribble rhymes in his school journal, using every spare moment to nurture his love for music. However, 2011 became a pivotal year for him when his mother was diagnosed with cancer, and, in the same year, he lost his beloved uncle. After countless rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, his mother triumphed over cancer—a battle that left a deep impression on him and pushed him to mature quickly, instilling a newfound seriousness about life.
Although music was always close to his heart, Showtim3 dedicated much of his time to organized football, playing from the age of five through high school and college. Even then, he never let go of his creative outlet, always keeping a rap book with him, writing a couple of songs each day. During his sophomore year in college, he made the bold decision to step away from football and record his first track in a studio—a moment that marked his serious entry into the music world. He began sharing some of his early work on SoundCloud, which caught the attention of listeners.
A key turning point came when Showtim3 teamed up with his childhood friend under the group “GUG Savages,” managed by GUG Prince. Together, they gained momentum by releasing music projects, performing at showcases, and even sharing the stage with major artists like Moneybagg Yo, Birdman, and Yo Gotti. These opportunities helped solidify their presence in the hip-hop industry.
In 2018, tragedy struck the GUG family with the loss of a close friend, GUG Trappa, in Baltimore, MD. Though the loss was devastating, the group came together, using Trappa’s memory as fuel to strengthen their music and their bond.
By 2021, Showtim3 faced another turning point when a falling out with his childhood friend led to the disbandment of GUG Savages. Showtim3 then embarked on a solo career, releasing a few solo tracks before unveiling his debut project, Dog Star, in July 2022. Since going solo, his fan base has grown rapidly, with his music drawing attention and love from fans across the globe.
